WHAT THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM DOES NOT ENTAIL ?

  • The mentorship program does not mean taking over the management of the hotel, it shall only support the hotel owner and managers to make informed decisions to overcome the crises faster than others.

  • The mentorship program does not give any financial support to any hotel owner.

  • The mentorship program does not help owners sell or lease out properties. That is a separate initiative of ProMiller and does not make to be part of this program.

  • The mentorship program does not provide any manpower support or any support in arranging manpower. However, it shall be our endeavor to help the hotels know where and how to hire.

  • The Mentorship does not mean owner representation by any means. It is a mentorship program where the hotel, its owner and management is taken as a mentee so that they can be guided during these challenging times.

  • The Mentorship program is an altruistic effort by ProMiller to support the hotel industry in these most challenging times. Best efforts shall be put by ProMiller to ensure the stability of the hotel for the common goal of supporting India. However, ProMiller does not guarantee any specific results.

HOTEL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

According to research, the total number of hotel rooms in India was marked at approximately 2.8 million, as of 2018-19, after which numbers have only grown across India.

COVID-19 has hit the Hotel industry hard and with it, the contribution of the hotel industry to the Indian economy is going to be greatly affected. We already have Hotel owners and investors planning to exit from the industry, leaving many hoteliers unemployed. Motivated by our honorable Prime Minister's words, we are hoping to be 'Vocal about Local' by supporting Indian Hotels in these challenging times.

Through this program, we hope to extend support to the independent hotels which lack the awareness and see exit as their only option. In the bigger picture, we hope to sustain the Indian economy during these tumultuous times as the overall economy of India is affected by hotels in terms of employment, businesses, travel and tourism. After all, hotels across India employ approximately 10 million people directly, as per the data available in 2017, after which numbers have only grown.

In order to not dilute the quality of support in this mentorship, we are following a registration and selection process. We are shortlisting hotels in India that lack support and expertise to manage hotels and may suffer losses, or worse, be completely shut down due to the Coronavirus effect.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?

  • Any independent hotel company across India with less than 4 hotels in total

  • Hotels must be owned or taken on a long lease

  • Total Turnover of the hotel must not have exceeded INR 25 Crores in any of the last 2 years individually, i.e. FY 2019-20 and FY 2018-19

  • Profit Percentage for last year, i.e. FY 2019-20, must be less than 30%

  • Hotels with existing debt liability (bank loan) shall be given preference during the shortlisting process.

WHY SHOULD HOTELS APPLY TO THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?

  • Right now the battle is not of profits, it is for sustenance. It is vital to sustain the hotel business until the time industry is revived.

  • With our expertise, you can expect sustainable solutions to the current problem without dissolving your market reputation by cutting corners
